Work Process

Our observations show that when companies make decisions about workwear production, they usually already understand their main needs and have an idea of what a workwear set might consist of and how many pieces it might include. Our task is simply to combine these wishes and needs with tasteful and functional clothing designs.

Usually, the design and manufacture of workwear and uniforms follows the following plan:

1. We agree on the first meeting

Once your company or institution has made a decision—we need work uniforms, the main requirements are known, and the amount of available funding is clear—it’s time to call us and arrange a meeting date and time.

2. First meeting, formulation of the work assignment

At the beginning of the conversation, we will listen to your company’s needs. Namely, whether the uniforms are needed for everyday wear throughout the year or only during a specific season, whether you need only individual items of clothing or entire outfits and specific combinations, or whether you need to have separate corporate clothing made for company management and a smaller group of employees to wear at exhibitions or other representative events. Perhaps all that is needed is the development of accessories that match the company’s visual identity – the sewing of scarves, aprons, hats, shawls, or ties.

For our part, we will provide advice on various workwear combinations. If possible, we will be happy to meet and assess the conditions and environment in which the people for whom the clothing will be made work.

As a result, after comparing the requirements with the company’s financial capabilities, we will agree on the most appropriate method of manufacturing workwear:
  1. We will develop a workwear set with an original design, selecting the most suitable fabrics and colors, and we will sew the clothes according to each employee’s individual measurements.
  2. We will use your selected standard clothing, which will only need to have the company logo embroidered on it.
  3. Let’s take the middle ground – purchase standard clothing that you have selected yourself, and we will make adjustments to the clothing for employees who need it or, if necessary, sew identical clothing based on the sample.

We know that situations, needs, and requirements vary from company to company, so we do not insist on any particular model for the design of workwear. However, it should be noted that purchasing standard clothing will be a cheaper solution, but there is no guarantee that it will fit your employees perfectly, as not everyone’s body type corresponds to classic standard sizes. In such cases, you will usually have to settle for an impersonal approach and choose from what is on offer, even if it does not fully meet all your requirements. However, when you entrust us with the design and manufacture of your workwear, you can count on an individual approach, patience in finding the best solution, individual clothing design in line with your corporate identity, assistance in fabric selection, and flexibility in the execution of the work.

3. Fabric selection, sketch creation, and coordination

If you choose the option of developing a workwear set with an original design, the designer will select the most suitable fabrics at this stage. For example, for catering staff, we will look for fabrics that are moisture-proof and oil-repellent. An important requirement for almost everyone is that the clothing should not sweat, but we know that 100% natural materials cannot be used for uniforms because they crease extremely easily. In such cases, we help to select fabrics with the most suitable natural and synthetic fiber composition. There are also areas where natural materials are essential, but even then we select fabrics that are not too complicated for everyday use and maintenance.

Once we have found one or two fabrics and color options, we will begin working on sketches for the clothing set. When the sketches are complete, we will send them to you for review. Once they have been approved and the desired fabric has been selected, we will begin developing a sample of the garment. We will ask for an advance payment for this.

4. Development of clothing samples

Once we have received the prepayment for the development of the clothing sample, we will start working on its production. We will bring the finished clothing sample to you and present it, explaining once again all the features and functionality of the clothing, etc. We will listen to your assessment and recommendations for desired changes or additions.

5. Clothing sample correction and approval

After the meeting, we will return to our workshop and, if necessary, adjust the clothing sample in accordance with the suggestions made during the meeting. Once this has been done, we will resubmit the sample for evaluation. In most cases, the company gives its final approval for the clothing design at this stage.

This is also the stage at which it is possible to determine very precisely what the costs of designing and manufacturing the workwear will be. The price is determined by the design, fabric costs, labor or sewing costs, and the volume or number of workwear sets required.

6. Removing measurements and starting to sew

The most important thing at this stage is to take individual measurements of employees. We can do this at our salon, but we can also be flexible and visit your company together with the designer. This is most often necessary if the team is large or the company is located outside Riga. Once the measurements have been taken and the fabrics delivered, the cutting and sewing of the garments begins.

7. Storage

Once the garment has been sewn, it is fitted, during which the designer evaluates and agrees with the employee on any necessary adjustments.

8. Complete fulfillment of the order

Once the final adjustments have been made, we deliver the garment to the company and it is ready to wear.

We understand that clothing, if used regularly, may occasionally need some repairs – a button may come off, a buttonhole or zipper may break, or a seam may come apart. Therefore, in order to provide our customers with a full range of services, we also perform clothing repairs.
